- ➤ Newport News Public Schools' first Dual Language Immersion students have learned both English and Spanish together since kindergarten and are now in tenth grade at Menchville High — the program will add eleventh grade next year so they can graduate in 2027. Newport News Public Schools

- ➤ At the first spring practice today, Norfolk State head coach Michael Vick said he is building a winning football program for 2025 and has added a strong coaching staff to guide the team.
