- ➤ Virginia Symphony Orchestra announced its 2025-26 season — marking its 105th year — with intimate concerts and themed shows inspired by films such as Princess Bride, Star Wars, and Harry Potter. - ➤ Meteorologist Taylor explained that even though spring days feel warm, the ocean water in our area stays cold, posing risks for beachgoers. The Coast Guard and National Weather Service run a Cold Water Program to issue alerts until the water warms in May—when it is expected to rise from the 60s to the upper 70s by mid-summer. 13News Now

- ➤ Virginia senators and delegates sent a bipartisan letter to the USDA asking for answers after cuts to TEFAP—key funding that provided 20% of food to local food banks—left low-income families at risk. - ➤ The Norfolk Health Department said syphilis cases rose across Hampton Roads in 2024, with half of 35 congenital syphilis cases statewide in our area — putting pregnant women and newborns at risk.
