Organizer Josiah Palmer, who held an unpermitted gathering at Buckroe Beach on April 4, is working with Buckroe Coffee Co. co-owner David Spring to host trash cleanup events today and on April 25 so future events meet the rules.

Woodside High School teacher Janet Costello won the James Madison Graduate Fellowship to boost her teaching of the American Constitution.

She will begin a fully funded master’s degree program and complete a four week fellowship at Georgetown University in summer 2027.
