- ➤ Police said a man was killed in a shooting in Newport News Friday afternoon when officers responded to a call just after 3 p.m. at the 800 block of 35th Street—he died at the hospital about 90 minutes later. WTKR
- ➤ On April 13—three people robbed an individual in the Chili's parking lot at the 12500 block of Jefferson Avenue while wearing all black clothing, and Newport News police are asking community members for help identifying the suspects. WAVY
