The Newport News School Board extended Dr. Michele Mitchell’s contract through June 30 because of improved graduation rates and attendance—she has led the district since 2023 and will serve until 2029.

Langley Federal Credit Union is celebrating 90 years by paying car payments for 90 members who have active auto loans.

From May through July, 30 members will have up to $500 paid monthly at its Newport News branches.
