Aid Another will host a Havana Nights Masquerade at YMCA Camp Grom on Saturday, September 6th to raise funds for adaptive programs that support people with disabilities—featuring live music, gourmet dining and award presentations.

Newport News Public Schools students built three-dimensional art with donated cans at the Youth Volunteer Corps Annual Canstructure Competition on April 26 at Patrick Henry Mall—over 18,844 cans were given to the Foodbank of the Virginia Peninsula.

An Achievable Dream Academy won Grand Champion while Ella Fitzgerald Middle School, Richneck Elementary School, and Denbigh High School also earned awards—teams showcased their creative designs.

Governor Glenn Youngkin ordered flags to be flown at half-staff today in Virginia—honoring those lost to fentanyl poisoning as part of Fentanyl Awareness Day.
