ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Two separate vehicle crashes on southbound I-664 inside the Monitor–Merrimac Memorial Bridge–Tunnel caused traffic delays Monday morning; Virginia State Police reported one accident with three vehicles and another with two, with no injuries reported.  13News Now

CRIME NEWS

  • Suffolk detectives have reopened the 2019 case of Newport News man Gregory Isaiah Goodman, who was shot five times in the Remington Park area on May 21 as a silver van fled—witnesses reported a man in the vehicle and the motive remains unclear.  WAVY

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The USS Enterprise, decommissioned in 2017, is set to sail to Mobile, Alabama to be dismantled by NorthStar Maritime Dismantlement Services after the Department of Defense awarded a $537 million contract on Friday — the process will recycle hazardous material and is expected to finish by November 2029.  WAVY
