ADAIR TO RISE will host a community engagement workshop for community-facing staff, nonprofit leaders, and educators where they will learn authentic engagement techniques like mapping community assets and partnering with nontraditional leaders (the session includes hands-on activities and small-group discussions).

City and project leaders broke ground Thursday morning on 73 new apartments on Washington Ave near City Hall — the final phase of the Marshall-Ridley Choice Neighborhood Initiative to create affordable modern housing.

Construction is set to complete in August.
