A missing Newport News teen, 16 year old, accidentally drowned in Mariner's Lake in early April, according to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner who said no signs of foul play were found.

Chesapeake's Planning Commission recommended new zoning and a policy to limit data center placements; its recommendations now go to the Chesapeake City Council for review, and Newport News recently broke ground on a new data center at Jefferson Lab + leaders in other cities have taken different stances.

The USS Nimitz, carrying 3,000 sailors, arrived at Naval Station Norfolk on Thursday after a four-month deployment with U.S. Southern Command & America 250 events.

The nearly 50-year-old carrier will remain in service until its successor, the USS John F. Kennedy, takes over.
