Virginia State Police are asking the public to help find a white Ford pick-up truck after its trailer hitch came off on I-64 near the 284A exit on Sunday, July 13 at 8:30 p.m.—the hitch hit a blue Honda Civic and injured a 29-year-old woman who was taken to the hospital.

Newport News Fire Department’s Swiftwater Rescue Team left Saturday by driving overnight to reach Texas after heavy rain on the Guadalupe River reshuffled flood debris and forced a re-search for missing loved ones.

The seven-person team works 12-hour shifts (staying on foldable cots in a gym) and will continue until their mission is complete (with no set return date).
