Newport News police are searching for 62-year-old Melvin Holliday—he was last seen leaving his home on June 13 and is not considered endangered as detectives investigate the case.
🎓 Education
Michelle Young, the NNPS Elementary and Division-wide Teacher of the Year, reported to her school yesterday to prepare for the new school year starting August 25.
She shared advice on building strong relationships in the classroom and emphasized that support among teachers, students and parents fuels success — a message meant to guide everyone in the district.
