EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Newport News Public Schools has launched a free virtual after school STEM Academy for selected students in grades four to eight, where classes will run on school-issued Chromebooks from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Applications open on September 29 and families will be notified on October 6 — the program will run in three sessions from October 27 through April 2 and is funded by the Department of Defense Education Activity grant Mission STEM.
