- ➤ TCI and Verkada will host a Lunch and Learn—Golf Experience at X-Golf Chesapeake on Thursday, October 23rd from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. for organizations with over 50 employees, and the event will include a complimentary lunch, a security demo, and an hour on the golf simulators. EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Newport News Public Schools announced a new rule that will start November 5 requiring high school students to keep cellphones off from the first bell until dismissal, even during lunch and breaks. The stricter rule aims to cut distractions and support safer learning — a move following Gov. Youngkin’s call for cellphone-free classrooms statewide. WTKR
- ➤ NNPS eighth grade and high school musicians performed at the fourth annual Band Expo on October 7 at Todd Stadium, where they played the National Anthem and football game halftime shows.
