Students from Newport News Public Schools attended the 6th annual More Than a Princess Girls’ Empowerment Conference at Woodside High School on November 7 and 8—NNPS Youth Development organized a Friday night rally for 1,000 students in grades three through twelve and hosted nearly 20 Saturday workshops on topics like self-image, social media, and mental health with a keynote by Dr. Jennell Riddick and support from BayPort Credit Union and volunteers.
