The board of VOLUNTEER Hampton Roads announced that Maerine 'Mimi' Mitchell will resign as President and CEO effective January 31 to take a new position in Northern Virginia—she served the organization for over 15 years.

The board will form a search committee and post the new leadership vacancy on December 1.
