Since May, a new mobile crisis unit in Hampton (a partnership between Hampton Fire & Rescue and the Community Services Board) has handled 2-3 mental health calls daily.
It runs Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., helping residents get care and keeping patients out of crowded emergency rooms.
