Two separate vehicle crashes on southbound I-664 inside the Monitor–Merrimac Memorial Bridge–Tunnel caused traffic delays Monday morning; Virginia State Police reported one accident with three vehicles and another with two, with no injuries reported.

Suffolk detectives have reopened the 2019 case of Newport News man Gregory Isaiah Goodman, who was shot five times in the Remington Park area on May 21 as a silver van fled—witnesses reported a man in the vehicle and the motive remains unclear.
