In Yorktown on July 7, police arrested 35-year-old Robert Benjamin Brown after a traffic stop on Big Bethel Road and Hampton Highway when a police K9 detected drugs—officers seized cocaine, heroin, and a firearm and charged him with several offenses—he is now held at Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.

Yorktown police arrested 28-year-old Andrew James Jones II on July 4 after he pointed an AK-47—looking rifle at four people in a car on George Washington Memorial Highway near York High School, and deputies later seized the weapon from his home.
